Results of drivers’ survey
At Jansen Recycling Group, it is important to us that our drivers can load and unload materials safely, easily and quickly. Back in April, we carried out a survey among the drivers who come to our yards.
The aim of this survey was to gauge the satisfaction levels of our drivers and find out where we could still make improvements. Matters that came up were safety, Jansen staff at the yard and the weighbridge, opening hours, and – no small matter – the coffee. Some 106 drivers completed our survey. On a scale of 1 to 5 (with 1 being ‘very dissatisfied’ and 5 being ‘very satisfied’), our average score was a 4.7. This is an impressive score and one which we are rightfully very pleased with. The survey also produced a number of good suggestions on how we can make improvements. To give a few examples:
- Sweep the yard more often to prevent punctured tyres.
- Replace all the coffee machines.
- Fence off the area around the scrap shear better to protect drivers from flying bits of scrap.
On behalf of all staff, we would like to thank everyone who took part in the survey.
