Perfect lay-up harbour and an ideal location to store equipment
Jansen Recycling Group (JRG) is joint owner of Dutch Harbour ‘s-Gravendeel BV. Dutch Harbour accommodates a range of vessels moored during lay-up.
Located in ’s-Gravendeel on the Dordtse Kil river, Dutch Harbour offers various lay-up options. The sheltered location of the harbour largely protects vessels against tides and waves. Thanks to its depth (5 metres) the harbour can accommodate a range of vessels, including river barges, seagoing vessels (e.g. for the offshore sector), large pontoons, hotel ships and more. Dutch Harbour can handle vessels up to around 180 metres.
If you need room to store equipment, Dutch Harbour can help you out there too. The harbour has a yard covering an entire hectare of land covered by concrete slabs ready to handle anything you need to store, whether for a short or longer period of time.
Other features Dutch Harbour boasts:
- 24/7 video surveillance
- Free Wi-Fi
- Ships can be connected to shore power (400/230v, 50 Hz)
- Drinking water is available from various connection points
- Ships can be moored during a sale or auction process
- Gates and barriers close off the entrance to the yard and the harbour
The combined expertise of the harbour staff and JRG make Dutch Harbour the perfect location for storing vessels and equipment and, if desired, having these carefully and thoroughly prepared for dismantling or other work prior to being taken to one of the shipyards in Vlaardingen or Dordrecht. These added services enable JRG to take a lot of work off clients’ hands.
