Update demolition Botlek Bridge

The final hour of the old Botlek Bridge has truly struck. From October through January, the bridge sections of the old Botlek Bridge were delivered in stages to the dismantling yard of Jansen Recycling Group in Vlaardingen.

In collaboration with demolition contractor Vlasman, the Botlek Bridge was dismantled and downsized through cutting and torching. The video offers a clear impression of the activities that took place at the dismantling yard in Vlaardingen over the past few months. The total weight of all bridge components amounts to approximately 6,000 tonnes. The resulting scrap metal is then supplied as a secondary raw material to steel mills.
