MNE has shipped 1,552 tonnes of scrap metal to our yard in Vlaardingen.
The scrap originates from two dismantled container cranes previously in operation at a terminal in Sweden. Due to age and wear, the cranes were decommissioned and replaced.

With a height of 65 metres, a length of 80 metres and a width of 25 metres, the container cranes were too large to be transported by ship in one piece.
As a result, they were dismantled on site in Sweden.
After dismantling, the remaining scrap metal was shipped to our yard in Vlaardingen. The containers filled with scrap were unloaded one by one from the vessel — a process that took MNE approximately two days.
Jansen Recycling Group processes the recovered scrap into high-quality secondary raw materials.
This was a great project for Jansen Recycling Group to be part of, and a fine example of a successful collaboration between two dedicated partners.
