Impact

Working on a world as it is meant to be

We create impact by staying true to our core activity: recycling ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This way, we keep valuable raw materials in the loop and reduce the need for mining. We conduct our business with respect for people, the environment and society, guided by the principles of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance).

How do we make
impact?

Environment

We preserve valuable raw materials within the circular economy. With every ton of ferrous or non-ferrous metal we recycle, we reduce CO₂ emissions.

Sustainable operations

We work with modern, electric equipment. Our electricity is generated by 4,200 solar panels, and our yards are fully liquid-tight.

Social

Our people make the difference day in, day out. We are committed to one another, to our partners, and to society at large.

Safety

A safe working environment and safe transport are top priorities—for our yards, our suppliers, and our customers.

Governance

We ensure the quality of our operations through various certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, CO₂ Performance Ladder and CSR. From 2025 onwards, we will report in accordance with the CSRD.

Full traceability of where your scrap goes.

Closing-the-loop

Closing the loop means using ferrous and non-ferrous residual streams as raw materials to create new products within the shortest possible cycle

Closing
the loop

1. Scrap Collection

Ferrous and/or non-ferrous residual streams are collected and removed in a timely manner to ensure your production process runs smoothly without interruption. Full containers are transported to our yards either on a scheduled basis or on demand.

2. Weight and Quality Control

Upon arrival at our yards in Dordrecht or Vlaardingen, the load is weighed, unloaded, and inspected. A second weighing determines the net weight, and a thorough quality assessment follows. These two factors form the basis of your invoice and payment.

3. Metal Recycling

We process almost all materials in-house. Using state-of-the-art equipment including analysis tools, cranes, shears, and shredders we cut, shred, and sort scrap metal. The result: specific, high-grade materials tailored for smelters and foundries.

4. To the End Processor

We supply our materials as feedstock to steel, aluminium and copper smelters both in Europe and Asia. Destinations are determined by market conditions, supply and demand, and the preferences of the original disposer.

5. New Raw Materials

Once melted, the secondary raw materials are turned into new semi-finished products or end products. The loop is closed: valuable resources are preserved, and the supply chain benefits from a significantly lower CO₂ footprint compared to primary extraction from ore.
